Indulf

Indulf, known as Ildulb mac Causantín, ruled as King of Scotland from approximately 954 to 962 AD, succeeding Malcolm I. His reign saw the recapture of Edinburgh from the Kingdom of Northumbria, marking an important territorial achievement for the Kingdom of Alba. However, Indulf's time as king was also marked by challenges, notably from Viking raiders. His death in 962, potentially in combat against the Norse, marked the end of his relatively brief reign. Despite the challenges, Indulf's capture of Edinburgh remains a notable contribution to the shaping of Scotland's medieval borders.
