House of Dunkeld

This dynasty is also known as the House of Canmore. Its inception was with Duncan I. It marked a period of increased influence from the English monarchy, but also saw the continuation of the process of defining Scotland’s territorial boundaries. The House of Dunkeld came to an end with the death of Margaret, Maid of Norway.
