962 - 967

Dub

Dub, known as Dub mac Maíl Coluim, reigned as King of Scotland from around 962 to 967 CE, following Indulf. His reign, often referred to by the nickname "Dén" meaning "the Vehement" or "the Black", was marked by internal strife and challenges to his authority. The exact circumstances of his rule are not entirely clear due to limited records, but it is believed that he faced significant opposition, leading to his eventual death. Historical accounts suggest he was killed in battle near Forres, and his passing was followed by a period of instability and power struggles within the Kingdom of Alba.
