Battle of Worcester

The Battle of Worcester, fought on September 3, 1651, was the final and decisive battle of the Third English Civil War, part of the wider conflict of the Wars of the Three Kingdoms. It took place in Worcester, England, and saw Oliver Cromwell's Parliamentarian New Model Army face off against the Royalist forces, predominantly comprised of Scottish soldiers, who supported Charles II’s claim to the throne. The battle resulted in a decisive victory for Cromwell’s forces, and Charles II barely managed to escape, evading capture for six weeks before fleeing to France.
